steam strainers are used in steam turbines and gas turbine these strainers are made of special alloys to overcome tremendous pressure and temperature changes that are produced by turbines these steam strainers are B.H.E.L ,Siemens, GE design and are used in emergency stop valve, Main steam valve, Hot reheat steam valve, Control Valves of turbines and filter the steam that enters the turbines rotors and remove any debris or particles that may enter through steam flow into turbine so they are very critical part of steam turbines
